Heroic helmet made of paper. DIY hero costume, birthday party on this theme. Hero costume for a boy

Almost every boy in childhood wanted to be a hero. So why not make your dream come true? After all, you can make a cool costume for the main character, and make a hero’s helmet for your head with your own hands.

Working with paper

The process of forming a helmet from paper can be traced using the example of a master class.

For needlework you will need: a balloon, plasticine, a centimeter, paper, PVA, Vaseline, silver and black paint, a sponge.

Inflate a balloon approximately the same size as the circumference of the child's head (you can measure it in advance with a centimeter). Lubricate the ball with Vaseline, then draw a sketch of the future helmet on it. Now let’s take the paper, cut it into small pieces, and start gluing the ball using the papier-mâché technique. First, glue the first layer, then wait until it dries, and only then glue the second. Using this technique, the helmet will be stronger.

When we have pasted the required amount of paper, carefully blow off the ball, cut it, and then sand the uneven edges. We use plasticine to form a point on the top of the head. We glue a couple of layers of paper again and wait until the structure dries completely. Then we cover the workpiece with a couple of layers of PVA. You can mix it with white paint.

Now you need to paint the helmet. We carefully and evenly apply the first layer of silver paint, and then, after complete drying, the second layer. Before the paint dries, take a sponge, dip it in black paint and carefully nail it to the workpiece. This technique should create the effect that the helmet is old. We paint the inside of the helmet with black (acrylic only) paint. Mesh fabric can be glued to the back if desired.

You can use the same technique if you want to make a helmet out of foil. To create a helmet, instead of silver paint, take regular kitchen foil and smooth it over the surface of the headdress. You can glue the foil using PVA glue. And at the end you can decorate the headdress as you wish.

Simple lesson

And now we will give you another item on how to make a helmet with your own hands from scrap materials.

To do this you will need a 5 liter plastic bottle, a large plastic glass, a laundry bag, silver paint, scissors, and double-sided tape.

Draw a helmet on the top of the bottle and cut it out.

Attach the cone to the bottle with tape.

Cut a rectangle from a laundry bag and paint it silver.

We paint the workpiece itself with the same paint. You may need to coat the helmet in two or three coats to achieve a more intense metallic tone.

We try on the mesh, mark the places where we attach it with a marker.

Using double-sided tape, attach the mesh to the inside of the bottle.

And the plastic bottle helmet is ready.

Watch a selection of video tutorials on how you can make a hero’s helmet with your own hands.

All boys, without exception, like the image of the ancient Russian warrior. A caring mother can please the boy with a real hero’s costume, which is made with her own hands. It consists of a helmet, chain mail, armor and boots. How to turn simple things into heroic surroundings? Step-by-step instruction and a detailed master class will help with this.

What to make a helmet for a hero from

A hero’s costume without a headdress doesn’t look good at all, so the little warrior will need a beautiful helmet. It can be made from simple and affordable materials.

What you need for work:

Five liter plastic bottle;

Plastic glass 500 ml;

Washing bag or piece of mesh;

Silver or gold paint in a can;

Mounting double-sided tape;

Scissors and glue.

Progress

1. Cut out the base of the helmet from the top of the bottle. To do this, draw a wide frontal part with a marker, leaving the sides even. We cut off everything unnecessary.

2. Make a conical top of the helmet from a plastic glass. To do this, cut out the bottom of the glass and cut it vertically. We cut out a cone from the resulting plastic sheet and fasten it with double-sided tape.

4. Let's start making chain mail for the helmet. We make it from a laundry bag. This mesh is quite durable and inexpensive. You can use mosquito netting or remnants of tulle, but this material is thin and stretches a lot.

5. We paint the mesh with silver or gold spray paint.

7. Cut the mesh and try it on the helmet. At the fastening points we apply double-sided tape, to which we attach the chain mail mesh.

We try on the finished heroic helmet on the baby. Let's start making other parts of the costume.

DIY chain mail and shirt for a hero

An indispensable attribute of a heroic costume is a shirt with a Slavic pattern and chain mail. To sew a “Bogatyr” costume for a boy with your own hands, you need to stock up on the following materials:

White loose shirt;

A section of border with a Slavic pattern;

Foil backing for laminate;

Glue, scissors, double-sided tape.

Progress

Step No. 1 Shirt of a hero

You can turn a simple white shirt or nightgown into a heroic shirt. To do this, just sew a beautiful border with a pattern along the bottom of the product. Nowadays you can find almost any border on sale. The shirt for the hero is ready.

Step No. 2 Chain mail

Chain mail can be made in several ways.

1. A vest is cut out of an old knitted sweater and painted with spray paint. To do this, the vest is pulled over the back of the chair. This chain mail turns out to be quite light, but the smell of paint remains.

2. You can make a scaly chain mail shell. To make it, you will need rectangles of the same size, which are fastened in a checkerboard pattern. You need to start working from the bottom row of chain mail. In addition, the rectangles must be painted on both sides. The dried parts are sewn onto a thick sleeveless vest.

Important! You can make a chain mail shell from a foil backing under the laminate, cardboard, plastic folder or other materials.

How to make boots and pants for a hero boy costume with your own hands

Old Russian heroes wore high boots with curved toes and a figured top. You won’t find these on sale, but making them is quite simple from scrap materials.

What you need for work:

Thick fabric for boots;

Doublerin;

Thick linoleum or leather for the sole;

Thick threads for decorative work;

Awl, scissors.

Step No. 1 Pattern of boots

We take the necessary measurements from the child’s leg and draw a pattern like this.

We transfer the details of the side and front of the boots onto the fabric, not forgetting about the seam allowances. We cut out the sole from thick linoleum or leather.

Step No. 2 Assembling boots

We iron all the details. We additionally seal the front part of the boot with doublerin so that the boots keep their shape.

We use an awl to make holes on the sole through which the boot will be sewn.

We fold the parts of the fabric boots with the right sides inward and sew them on a machine. Turn it inside out and try it on the sole. We distribute the fabric along the side of the sole, pinning it with pins. The sole must be sewn on by hand, using even and neat stitches.

The boots for the hero costume are ready!

The pants of the ancient Russian hero are made of plain fabric. For cutting them, the pattern of any sweatpants or bloomers is suitable. We transfer the pattern to the fabric and sew the pants along the side and crotch seams, not forgetting to tuck the bottom of the legs and insert the elastic into the waistband.

You can use ready-made sweatpants made of knitted fabric in soft colors.

Shield and sword for a hero from scrap materials

Weapons make the outfit more impressive. As a rule, a handmade hero costume for a boy is complemented with a shield and sword.

To make a sword you will need:

Thick cardboard;

Spray paint;

Metal and plastic decorations;

Glue, scissors.

On thick cardboard we draw a sketch of the future sword. We cut out several parts that we glue together. This will give additional strength to the finished product.

We cover the dried sword blank with several layers of spray paint to obtain an even and beautiful color. When the paint is dry, we begin decorating the sword.

To decorate the handle, you can take beads, multi-colored plastic or metal rhinestones, colored foil, etc. Decorations are glued in random order onto the handle of a cardboard sword.

The shield for a warrior is made light. In Slavic culture, the shape of the shield was simple, more reminiscent of a circle or oval. The shield for a hero consists of several parts:

The main part is 2 cardboard circles. We calculate the diameter of the circle as follows: measure the length of the arm from the tip of the middle finger to the child’s elbow;

Borders are a cardboard hoop about 3-5 cm wide. The inside of the hoop can be made shaped;

Central circle with decoration: dragon head, sun or monogram.

The cardboard shield elements for the main part are glued together, then painted and allowed to dry. The border is painted separately, then applied to the main part and glued. The same goes for the central part of the shield. When the shield is ready, an elastic band is glued to the inside of it, which will fix it in the hand.

By working on a hero costume for a boy, you can give ordinary things a new purpose with your own hands. By using imagination and ingenuity, you can accurately copy all the details from ancient legends. It is important not to overdo it with decorations, because the hero is a rather strict and formidable image.

All children are different. And everyone’s interests are different too. Dolls, construction sets, travel accessories, transport, soft toys - this is not the whole list. And the children make the choice themselves. But everyone, without exception, loves to dream and imagine themselves in one way or another. To display the hero more realistically, you can’t do without a costume.
Our son has been in many costumes that have been made. Today we will talk about heroic armor, which haunted us and our son for more than one day.

It all started with watching cartoons about heroes. Our son’s eyes immediately lit up, and he instantly changed his usual lifestyle to a heroic one. Even in kindergarten Children and their parents thought for a long time that Alexey’s last name was Popovich. As you understand, the role dragged on for many months.

After much pestering from their son that he lacked chain mail and shields, the parents had to take up the tools. But before starting the process, it was necessary to watch the cartoon more than once and listen to recommendations regarding the desired armor.

The sequence of making a hero's costume from cardboard:

1. Found cardboard from large boxes.
2. Marked and drew the location of 2 circles for shields and chain mail.
3. Cut it out.
4. We painted small rings on the chain mail and decorated the shields with ornaments.

5. To conveniently attach the handle to the shield, an elastic rope was used. Two holes were punched on the shield the width of an arm. We inserted the elastic from the front part and, stretching it along the wrong side, again brought it out to the front part. Knots were tied on the front side, which rested on the holes.

We also reinforced the edges of the cardboard with tape. But over time it fell away, unable to withstand such a load.

Homemade shields and chain mail were perfectly complemented by a sword, helmet and heroic horse. With these things we slept in the same bed, went to visit and visited New Year's matinees. AND heroic armor made of cardboard turned out to be strong, necessary and unique.

We will tell you about our other costumes in the following ones. So as not to miss new articles on our website “Family leisure” subscribe to the newsletter.

We wish you to take a creative approach to the wishes of your children.

Addition . Our reader Rose described in detail how to make a hero’s helmet out of paper in the comments.

At one time, my mother made a papier-mâché helmet for my brother. They put a rubber swimming cap on my brother's head. Wet newspaper was placed on it, sealed with several layers of torn newspapers, using ordinary flour paste. True, my brother had to walk around like this for two or three hours until the paste set and dried. Then the “cap” was carefully removed from the head, having first marked the place where the top of the helmet and the front of the cap should be. They dried it on the table. Then they brought it to mind: in place of the crown they glued a cone of paper, and in front a narrow strip (like a nasal). Everything was once again glued with white paper, this time with a crown and a nosepiece. Then they dried it for a day. Then all that was left was to paint it with silver. The helmet came out perfectly, and, most importantly, it hit the head right. I think instead of a “mannequin” you can use a balloon inflated to the required volume. True, in this case the fit on the head may not be accurate.

Anastasia suggested another way to make a helmet from food foil. This is the hero’s costume she came up with.

Wrap food foil three or four times around your head and crimp. I also glued on mugs made of silver paper.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Add ideas for improving the costume in the comments and send photos of your creations to admin@site - we will be happy to add them to the article.

Relatives bring their child to our city for examination. The child is very sick, diagnosed with ASD. They rely on our specialists as their last hope. In order to save on something, they ask to live with my husband and me. And we have small children, I’m pregnant. I'm scared for myself and for my children.

Hi all!
I anticipate the gloating of some of my forum comrades, but today I want to whine. Can?
How tired I am, the Egyptian power! How do women give birth at 40-50 years old??? I have a huge difference in the feeling, in the “release”, in the perception of problems and joys - at 18 years old and now at 31... And how glad I am that I had such a wonderful experience of motherhood - joyful, stress-free, when everything is fine joy is in youth! If the little one were the first child, she would probably be the only one. Because it's HARD for me!

And this is the point. I think I live alone with 4 children. My son also started puberty, damn it. He's also sick. And my daughter is just a blast from birth. She, like her stepdaughter, has the same character as her father. They help under pressure and badly.
There is a housekeeper. I'll kick her out next month to hell! She didn’t strain herself before, but now she’s pregnant, so she’s completely “mows and hammers.” I'm better off without any bond than with this one. And what an uncomfortable position! Since a pregnant woman works, it means there is a need. And that means it’s not good to send her away so easily. But she herself doesn’t leave. Oo Are we planning to give birth?

In general, mothers of many children! How do you cope with household chores? How do you distribute your time so that you have enough for everything?

The problem may not be serious, but it’s already enough. My husband yells and swears all the time. Previously, when we got married, this didn’t happen, and so the mother-in-law says, “You ruined him!” he used to be good!” But about my mother-in-law, ever since she gave us a set of Teflon spatulas as a housewarming gift, I’ve already formed my own definite opinion, God bless her.
He's not yelling at me yet. But I feel that it will start soon. Yells at the TV. On drivers on the roads. For salespeople and cashiers in a store. He might yell at his neighbor because he scattered trash from a torn bag and didn’t collect it quickly enough. He just yells into the air “everyone.... the government....., the president......, the deputies......,” and so on. Just a stream of dirty vile words, loudly, with hatred in the voice, with splashes of saliva. It’s unpleasant for me to even be around at this moment; I want to crawl away somewhere and hide. All my requests are zero. When asked to go to the doctor, he yelled again, this time at me, that it was already difficult for him and I also considered him a psycho. To be honest, I already think, but what to do without his consent? He says that he is absolutely healthy, it’s just the bastards around him and [edited by the moderator] tormenting him. He flatly refuses sedatives.
At work he is calm, self-possessed and smiling. Everyone there appreciates him as a very good employee. Medical examinations are going well. But I'm already close to sneaking a sedative into his food, if that's even possible. What to do?

Good afternoon everyone!
As you understand, today is my birthday. But not at all happy. Only my family members congratulated me: my husband, children, my parents, manners and 2 friends. All. I received more congratulations from stores and online platforms!

That is why I have not liked this holiday since childhood. You wait, you hope, childish impatience, waiting for a miracle, but in the end.... There has never been a holiday, I have never called or invited friends (there is no money for all this). Gifts.... “These jeans are a gift for your birthday” (jeans were bought in May, for example) or “Now there is no money, then we will definitely buy you a gift” (the next necessary thing was bought in October-November).
In the end, I realized that it was better not to wait for this holiday at all and not to hope for anything. Do not believe in the sworn assurances of our parents that we will definitely (!!!) buy this on the BD. And they didn't buy it. I already asked not to promise, but... Now I even ask that they not congratulate me, that they forget about me on this day. Then there will be no disappointment from unfulfilled dreams))))

Why am I writing? Don't know.

I know that the forum is powerful!!! And I always feel better mentally when I share with you what is painful.

My daughter studies at an art school. This will be the third year already. Her teachers praise her, she is very diligent. The class teacher says that she is the only one of all who comes to class specifically to work. She likes to walk and has drawn well since childhood. The competition was great for the art department. But the holidays are a blast! They ask her to draw quite a lot, but she doesn’t want to! And then time is running out and she starts drawing and everything is in a bad mood and nothing happens! And he screams at us and takes it out on everyone, in general it’s a nightmare. Now she yelled at her younger brother, he went outside into the rain, just so as not to hear her. How can I calm her down? After all, if she really had bad drawings or had a sharply negative attitude towards studying at this school, she would have taken her away without any problems! But she walks with pleasure and draws better and better, only during the holidays is this a problem. I’m already tired of listening to these daily hysterics, I’m still on vacation now, so she’ll wear out all my nerves!

so a little background. I love on New Year sewing costumes for my son for matinees, and in general I love sewing carnival costumes))) and this year we were given the task of dressing up all the boys as heroes. the suit was sewn together and a plug appeared - a helmet. I put it off and put it off, and finally I was ready to build it. all MK on the network for making an item from plastic bottles We weren’t impressed, so I decided to come up with it myself again.
the process was captured for history and also to help others in this difficult matter. I apologize in advance for the background, everything is in a working mess.
the result - this is a heroic helmet

so for the helmet I took isolon, thin 5mm. We draw a rectangle with a length equal to the circumference of the head plus 1cm, the height is approximately equal to the desired height of the helmet plus a few cm, I got 27cm.

We divide the strip into 6 wedges, cut it into petals, leaving 10cm uncut, and glue it into a ring.

we try it on the client and roughly outline the shape of the wedge, remove it, cut it out, try it on again, adjust it))) having found a suitable shape, we begin to sew the seams. why stitch? I tried to glue it with tape, but alas, the complex shape of the wedge doesn’t stick together with tape at all.

so we sewed it. and now we take the tape and glue it for strength, while the jambs in the form of corners and protrusions are perfectly smoothed out, the helmet becomes smoother and more streamlined

Further. We put it on the client again, mark the place of the forehead cutout, remove it, cut it out.

Now we will paste it over. I took silver paper with a crinkled effect, it fits well on the curved shape.
We cut off a piece the length of the head circumference plus 2 cm, cut it into wedges, leaving a margin of a couple of cm for each step, and then start gluing it. The glue I used is universal titanium, it dries quickly and sticks well.

I first glued the part that was solid at the bottom, then bending the wedges one by one, making cuts, laid out the paper in the shape of a helmet, using the tails to form a peak on the top of the head.

this is what came out in the end, it's worth drying

While our art is drying, we are looking for materials for finishing. I found in the bins of my homeland some wide silver braid, a lot of narrow braid and fabric with sequins for the train (or whatever it is called).

So we cut out the same train with a “skirt”; the length of the upper cut is equal to the length of the lower part of the helmet to the cutout on the forehead, the length of the skirt is 25 cm, and sew it to the braid. sewed on, set aside. We take a narrow braid and begin to sew it along the seams of the wedges. why not glue it - any glue will fly off to the crooked surface of the paper, and with threads there is a chance that the children in the garden will not tear off this braid in the first 5 minutes.

This is what happened.

We take a skirt with a braid sewn on it and sew it to the helmet.

sewn on, we admire it.

Further. We cut out something like this from metallized cardboard - this will be the same “forehead”, cover it with braid for beauty and glue it to the helmet.

that's all! the helmet is dry, tried on, waiting in the wings at the matinee)))) everything took 2.5 hours.
