  • A wire whose thickness should easily pass through the beads.
  • Wire for rose stem made of beads. Since the flower will turn out to be quite heavy, choose a wire that is strong enough that will not bend under the heavy weight of the rose. Both copper and aluminum wire, approximately 4 mm thick, are suitable for this.
  • Threads or floral tape for tying. Only the threads must be strong enough. To wrap the stem you need gold-plated floss threads.

  • Before starting work, take a wire about 2 meters long.
  • The flower will consist of five rows of beaded rose petals. Petals of the first row - the petals are woven in a round shape on an axis (pattern 5/5): string 5 beads and make 5 arcs. Make three petals this way. To give the petal the desired shape, rotate the petal stem 90 degrees, bending the petal along its axis.
  • The petals of the second row are woven as follows (pattern 5/9/5/4 and 5/10/5/5): 5 beads per axis, weaving 9 arcs. You see, we now have two parameters that indicate the number of rotations around the axis. So, the first five rows need to go around the axis inside the petal, and the remaining four, outside the petal. In this way, weave three petals using both patterns. Next, you need to bend the petal along its axis and bend the tip outward.
  • The fourth row of beaded rose petals is woven on two axes (pattern 3/12/5/7). The first axis - string 2 beads, on the second axis - three beads. Thus, you need to make 5 arcs with loops on the axes from the inside, and 7 arcs on the inside. Make four petals using this pattern.
  • The fifth row of rose petals is woven on three axes (pattern 3/14/5/9). Place 3 beads on the left axis, two on the middle axis, and 1 on the right axis. Thus, make 5 arcs with straight braids and 9 arcs with purl loops on the axes. Give the petals the desired shape: to do this, bend the petal along the central axis. If you did everything correctly, the straight loops will be inside the petal, then, along the axes, bend the edge of the petal outward.

Step 1: weave the petals

To do this, we string one bead onto a piece of wire, send it to the center of the segment, then cross both tails of the wire in the next two beads strung.

  • Next, the number of beads increases for each row by two beads. We weave this way until the number of beads increases to 10.
  • We form the next row from 11 beads, string 9 beads onto each tail, and cross the tails at the very first bead. This way we get the first petal for the flower.

In total, for one rose you need to prepare 8 of them.

Step 2: making rose stamens

You need to place the stamens inside the rose; we make them separately from pink beads.

Step 3: forming sepals

Next we form 6 sepals using the same parallel weaving technique. Number of beads: 1-2-3-3-3-2-1.

Step 4: Making the Petals

Now it’s the turn of the petals, here the alternation of beads: 2-3-4-5-5-5-4-3-2-1. There are only 5 leaves for one, which we then attach as shown in the photo.

Step 5: weaving flowers

  • The wire is 0.3mm, 0.4mm in diameter and very thick for the rod.
  • Floral ribbon.
  • Glue (transparent polyurethane).

The rose we will weave will be big. The diameter of the bud is 12 cm. The height of the entire rose depends on the rod from which you will make the trunk.

Beaded rosebud

Let's start weaving a rose from beads with its petals, from which we will assemble a rose bud during the weaving process. We will weave.

  • Petals of the 1st row.

Round petals are made according to the following scheme: it is made from wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm, and a piece of wire 55 cm long and 0.3 mm in diameter is wound to it. We place 5 pink beads on the axis and make 8 arcs (4 turns). We weave the last row (this is the 4th turn) with white beads. You need to make 3 such petals of the first row.

To give the desired shape, you need to rotate the petal leg 90 degrees and bend the petal along its axis.

  • 2nd row.

We weave these petals according to the following scheme: we make the axis from wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm, and we wind a piece of wire 75 cm long and 0.3 mm in diameter to it. We place 5 pink beads on the axis, and weave 8 arcs (4 turns) with the working end of the wire.

We give each petal this shape. To do this, the tip must be bent outward, and the petal itself must be bent along the axis.

  • Petals of the 3rd row.

We weave according to the pattern: 5 beads on the axis and make 16 arcs (8 turns). We take a wire 95 cm long. We also pay attention to the fact that in these petals we also use a modified technique.

It is necessary to make 8 arcs according to this principle: the first 4 turns of the arcs should go around the axis on top of the petal, and the remaining 4 turns of the arcs should go around from the inside.

The last two rows are made of white beads. You also need to weave 3 of these petals. Next you need to give them shape.

  • 4th row.

The petals of the fourth row are woven using a sophisticated French weaving technique - weaving on two axes. We take a wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm, cut two pieces 17-18 cm long and twist them together from below, leaving an axis of 10 cm on each piece. Next, we take a wire 150 cm long and wind it to the axles.

Weave according to this pattern: string 2 beads on the right axis, and 3 beads on the left. Between the axes in the first row we make 3 beads, then in increasing order.

We make 5 turns around the axis on top, and 6 turns around the inside. In general, the petal should have 11 turns. We make the last two turns using white beads. We make 4 such petals. Afterwards, we give everything a shape by bending the tip, and bending the petal itself inward.

  • 5th row.

These petals weave on three axes. We take a wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm, cut off three sections 18-20 cm long and twist them together from below, leaving an axis of 12 cm on each section. Next, we take a wire 200 cm long and wind it to the axles.

Next we weave according to this pattern: string 1 bead on the first axle, 2 beads on the middle one, and 3 beads on the left one. Between the axes in the first turn we make 3 beads in each arc, then in increasing order.

We make 5 turns, going around the axis on top and 8 times going around it from the inside. In general, the petal should have 13 turns. We make 4 such petals.

We give shape to our woven petals by bending them along the central axis. The central seam with the eyelets should be on the inside, and the tips of the petal should be bent outward.

That's it, the petal blanks are ready, let's start assembling the rose bud.

Assembling a rosebud from beads

We take a thick wire (rod), screw the first row of petals to it, fastening them in a circle. Next, we attach the second row; when assembling, the petals need to be nested inside each other.

Next, according to the same pattern, we attach 3 rows of petals, then the 4th and 5th row. The petals will turn out heavy and will hang down, and so that the bud falls apart, glue them from the inside at the base to the petals of the previous row. You should get a bud like this.

Now we need to weave the sepals for our rose.

Beaded sepals for roses

We take 75 cm of wire, make an axle 10-12 cm long and string beads on it. The bead row should be 6 cm (can be measured with a ruler), this is approximately 40 beads. The sepal weaves along.

We attach the finished sepals to the rose bud. After the sepals have been attached, you need to wrap the peduncle with 10 rows of beads strung on a wire. Next we wrap the stem with green floral ribbon.

Weaving flowers from beads is a very exciting, painstaking and difficult task. But even novice needlewomen, with due diligence and accuracy, will be able to weave a beautiful queen of flowers - a rose from beads - according to our master class.

The lesson was detailed (perhaps even too much), but I hope in this way we managed to avoid “blank spots” and prevent all possible questions that could arise in connection with weaving a beaded rose.

blue beads - 100 g;

golden beads - 50 g;

blue or silver wire for beading with a cross section of 0.4 mm;

gold wire for beading with a cross section of 0.3-0.4 mm;

“golden” floss - 1-1.5 skeins;

gold or copper wire with a cross section of 0.7-0.8 mm;

cable or thick wire (5-6 mm) for the trunk of a beaded rose;

if you have a flexible cable for the stem, then you will need another long knitting needle 50 cm;

yellow or gold threads for winding petals;

wide tape;

pliers;

clear nail polish;

glue gel moment transparent;

yellow or golden acrylic paint.

How to weave rose petals from beads

We string blue beads onto a silver wire (we don’t cut the wire, we just unwind it from the spool). For small petals, the lobe does not have to be long, but for larger petals, it should be at least a meter or one and a half in length. For convenience, we wind the beads back onto the spool, leaving only a tail of 20-30 cm of wire without beads.

Our beaded rose will consist of five “layers” of petals. Inside are the smallest, outside are the largest. There are 4 types of petals in total.

For the first order petals we weave the three smallest petals. To do this, cut the silver wire into 15 cm pieces - one for each petal. This will be the axis.

We twist 5-7 cm of the lower part of the axis with the tip of the wire of a silver coil (on which, as we remember, beads are strung) - in the future we will call this wire the working wire. We string 5 blue beads onto the axis.

We move several beads along the working wire to the axis and, forming an arc, make a turn with the working wire around the axis. We perform the operation again, performing an arc on the other side of the axis. Here's what it looks like in practice:

Tip: so that the wire is not visible, when weaving the petal it must be placed over the axis. If you pass the wire under the axis, you will get a “purl loop” - it will be visible on the petal.

We continue to weave blue arcs until we get 4 pairs of arcs - i.e. 4 rows on each side of the axis. Like this:

After this, we twist the working wire with the axle, drive away the remaining beads on the reel and cut it off. Don’t forget to make a loop on the reel so that our beads don’t run away from it.

Now we also collect 50-100 cm of gold beads onto the spool of gold wire.

We twist the tail of the golden wire with the axis of the first petal and use golden beads to make another row of arcs - the edging of our petals.



A piece of the axis protruding from the top of the petal should be tucked into one of the side arcs and cut off. Hide the tip between the beads.

You need to weave 3 such petals of the first order; bend the axis, as shown in the photo below, and “wind” each petal around your finger, giving it an arched shape.





Insert the petals into each other in a spiral, forming a rose bud, and connect the axes by wrapping them with a thread of a suitable color.



Let's start weaving the second order petals for a rose from beads. They differ from the previous ones in that they will not have a round shape, but a pointed one. To do this, we begin to weave in the same way as we made small petals. The exception is the braiding of the upper part of the axis: the working wire must be brought to it not perpendicularly (as we did in rounded petals), but at an angle.

So, we cut 3 wires for the axes, 15 cm each, twist the axle with the working wire, and string 6 beads onto the axle.





Give the petal a cup shape.

You need to make three such petals, and then tie them to the bud one by one. You need to wrap these petals one after another in the same direction in which the petals of the inner circle are wrapped.





We make the third circle of petals. We make them sharp, from 8 pairs of blue arcs and the ninth pair is golden. We bend it, like the petals of the previous circle. We weave three petals like this.





We wind it to the looming stem. At this stage, you can lengthen the small stem with a cable or wire - the main part of the future long stem of the rose. I did this a little later.

We will weave petals of the fourth and fifth order not on one, but on two axes. For each circle you will need 4 petals, for a total of 8 round petals. To do this, cut pieces of wire 20 cm long, 2 axes for each petal. We twist them together.

We also wind the working wire with a selection of low blue beads. We put a bead on the two axes folded together, then we separate the axes by 120 degrees, and we also put a bead on each.

We braid the petal circle by circle, as we did in previous cases. You will need to make 11 rows of blue arcs and one gold edging.







We assemble a rose from beads, winding the petals in a circle.



How to make sepals for a rose from beads

For the sepals, cut the gold wire into pieces of 12-15 cm, one for the number of sepal petals, I have seven of them.

Then we wind a gold-colored working wire with a string of low golden beads to one piece from the bottom.

We collect 23 beads on the axis, after which we perform one row of outlining the sepals, as we did for the rose petals.



Let's make the sepals more curly. To do this, move 18 beads to the looming sepal, then retreat about 15 cm of wire and cut it.

We “stitch” the rows with the tip of the wire. From the front and back sides it will look like this:



Now we collect 18 more beads on the tip of the wire and lay another row - to the base of the axis. We twist the tail of the wire with the axis.

We bend the sepals in a figure and wrap them one by one to the bottom of our beaded rose.

Leaves for beaded rose

We need to make 6 leaves for the rose, they will form 2 branches. The leaves can be either the same size or different (the top leaf of the branch is larger, the side leaves are smaller). I got leaves of three sizes.

So, we cut 6 pieces of thicker gold or copper wire (0.7-0.8 mm) 15-18 cm long. These will be the axes for the leaves.

We string more beads onto the golden wire. We wind the tip of the working wire to the axis, trying to twist it in such a way that the axis also bends, otherwise there is a high risk that the working wire will “move off” the axis.

We string 20 beads onto the axis (you will get a medium-sized sheet; in order to make the sheet larger and longer, you need to make more beads low on the axis) and use the working thread to make the first “outline” arc.

Then we move so many beads towards the axis along the working wire so that they do not reach the end of the leaf of 4-5 beads. Then we stretch the wire longer (40-50 centimeters) and cut it. We hook the end of the wire through the nearest arc, string so many more beads to “reach” the axis, and fix the working wire on the axis.

We do the same thing symmetrically on the other side of the sheet.

Then again on the first side we make the same turn, only at a level of 4-5 beads lower than the previous one, we repeat it on the second, and once again we do the work according to this pattern. As a result, there will be 3 cloves on each side of the leaf, and we will get a neat, pretty leaf for the rose.



We fold the leaves three at a time - for each branch.

Preparing the golden thread. To do this, we divide the floss into two parts - usually there are 6 threads in the floss, if you have this, then we divide it into two strands of three threads each. For some reason I had 12 threads each - in the end the strands turned out to be 6 thin threads each.

From the top leaf we begin winding with gold thread - tightly so that the base does not show through between the threads of the winding. Then we apply 2 more leaves at approximately the same level - the distance from the branch to the leaf should also be “covered” with a winding, although this is not at all necessary.

Thus we make two branches.

We attach a cable or wire to the flower, and if necessary, strengthen the stem with a long knitting needle. We wrap the structure with tape. We also wrap both branches with leaves with tape.

We start the winding from the flower, tightly covering the threads and cuttings of the petals and sepals lying with the previous layer.

We wrap slowly and carefully. When we reach the end, the tip of the thread needs to be secured with glue or clear nail polish. When the fastening composition has set and dried, the tip of the rose should be painted over with acrylic paint to match.

That's all! We straighten the leaves, petals and sepals - our beautiful blue and gold beaded rose is ready! And you can easily repeat it using our master class.
