Decorating your home and holiday table for Easter is just as important as for New Year and Christmas. The ideas are almost similar, the difference is only in some details. For example, for the New Year holidays they make garlands of snowflakes. But a DIY Easter garland made from paper eggs will turn out very beautiful. By the way, if you decide to make such a decoration, involve children in the process.

Materials for the Easter garland:

- colored paper of four colors (preferably thick, colored paper is suitable for printing on a printer);

- an egg stencil (there are a lot of them on the Internet, or you can draw them yourself);
- rhinestones;
- beads;
- hole puncher;
- glue gun;
- a simple pencil;
- fabric (better than Tilda style);
- foamiran in two colors (white and green);
- stamen preparations;
- wooden skewer;
- fabric gift bag with gold print;
- satin ribbons;
- twine;
- embossed openwork braid (preferably having a wave shape);
- iron;
- wooden ladybugs;
- magnet.

How to make an Easter garland with your own hands:

First, let's trace the prepared stencil on colored paper. In this master class, we used an egg stencil measuring 8*11 cm. Cut out four eggs. Don’t rush to throw away the scraps of paper, we will need them later.

Let's try the eggs on cardboard. You should trace the same stencil on the cardboard so as not to spoil the colored blanks. Cut it out.

Glue the colored ones to the cardboard eggs using a glue stick.

Now we make the decor. From the same cardboard we cut out the base for a small Easter cake measuring 2*3 cm.

Trying on the ribbon and ribbons. We glue them on the back side using a glue gun.

To create the sprinkles, we use a hole punch and scraps of colored paper. We pierce the paper and get even circles of the same size. Glue them on using a glue gun. The Easter cake is ready.

Draw a heart on cardboard and cut it out. We apply it to the fabric. You don’t even have to trace the heart, but simply, pressing it tightly, cut the heart out of the fabric, adding about 6-7 mm to the fold.

We make cuts along the entire border of the fabric heart, as shown in photo No. 14.

We glue each “petal”, which was obtained as a result of cuts using a glue gun, to the cardboard so that in the end we get an even, beautiful heart.

To make flowers from foamiran, we also prepare a petal stencil. Dimensions 2.5*2 cm. We trace it on the material using a wooden skewer and cut it out.

To give the petals volume and a realistic resemblance to real flower petals, we use an iron. Heat it to medium temperature. We bring the petals one at a time close to the iron for a few seconds. Then we quickly place it in the palm of our hand and press it with our thumb into the middle of the petal and pull it down slightly.

We will need more green leaves. We cut them out randomly from green material. We make cuts along the entire border of the leaves and in the middle. We also bring it to the iron and shape it by twisting the ends of the sheet in different directions.

Glue the tips of the stamens together, as shown in photo No. 24.

Glue the first petal so that the stamens are in the middle. We glue the next petals with a glue gun according to the principle of uniformity. We close all gaps. We make a flower of the correct shape. We make three flowers using this technique.

We process the border of the testicles using twine and glue it with a glue gun.

We turn the testicles over and try on the ribbon on which they will “hang”. We tie bows at the ends of the ribbon.
Glue the tape and magnets.

The final part is decorating the Easter garland. Glue the foamiran sheets onto the purple egg. Next are flowers and ladybugs.

Cut out golden apples from the gift bag and glue them onto the yellow egg. Glue the beads to it.

Glue rhinestones to the purple egg. And to the green ribbon and Easter cake. We make a strip of confetti near the blue egg and glue a heart.

In fact, a garland for Easter can be made from anything: from multi-colored ribbons, fringe, pieces of fabric, plastic dummy eggs, colored paper.

A simple garland for Easter made of colored paper

The photo shows several options on how you can make an Easter garland from colored paper with your own hands.

To make a corrugated paper garland you will need:

  • corrugated paper of several colors;
  • egg template;
  • pencil;
  • scissors;
  • double sided tape;
  • needle;
  • a beautiful cord for hanging a garland;
  • gold decorative napkins;
  • tapes.

DIY corrugated paper garland

1. First, draw an egg template. Choose the size of the part at your discretion, depending on the size of the paper eggs you want to make. See how it looks in the photo.

2. Cut out the template and transfer half of the egg shape onto a piece of lightweight cardboard. We recommend making a template out of cardboard because you will need to make three molds for each egg.

3. Transfer the image onto crepe paper (crimped paper), making sure the crumpled strips of paper run horizontally. We will need three different colored egg halves for each egg. Cut it out.

4. Place the halves of eggs of three different colors together, the more, the more magnificent your figure will be. Using double-sided transparent tape, fasten them together, applying small pieces of tape in different places of the halves to create a “honeycomb” pattern.

5. Trim any excess edges.

6. Glue a thick piece of cardboard or tape to one side of the egg. Flatten the egg and glue the outer halves together. Use a pencil to make even honeycombs and straighten the paper well.

7. Thread a beautiful gold-plated thread through a needle.

8. Pull the needle through the center of the egg as shown in the photo.

9. Cut out two circles from gold plated (or any other pretty) napkin.

10. Glue them together by passing a string of egg garland through the center. Such “medallions” will be located between the paper eggs.
