Double winter hat

Competition work No. 38 - Double winter hat (competition conditions)

The double winter hat is knitted according to the description from the Country of Mothers website. Description of the cap

The hat is knitted.

For knitting I used NAKO bambino threads (25% wool and 75% acrylic, 50 grams/130 meters) in 2 colors - white (top of the cap) and pink (inner cap). Knitting needles No. 2.5, yarn consumption per hat is less than 100 g.

Description and diagram

I started with ears, with one shell, in the next repeat there were increases along the edges, shells from 3 loops, the third repeat of 3 full shells. After the ears I added loops to the forehead and back of the head. The pattern was knitted with straight knitting, 4 repeats without decreases, the 5th of five loops - four, the sixth of 4 - three loops, then two together and pulled together. Rows 6-7 and 12-13 were knitted with pink threads. Around the hat I cast on loops on circular needles and knitted several rows using pink thread. The result is a roll. I made a pompom from threads of two colors and sewed it to the hat. The ties are knitted with purl stitch for 3 rows, which also produces a roll. The inner cap is knitted from pink threads using stockinette stitch and sewn to the outer cap.

Hat for a girl. Knitting needles.

I suggest learning how to knit a children's openwork double hat:
This model is suitable for ages 1.5-2 years.
Used: ALIZE 100% wool yarn, knitting needles No. 2.5, hook No. 2.5, knitting needle.
Beginning - Italian set on one knitting needle - 194p.

2.

We continue with a double elastic band (hollow inside) for 20 rows (it turns out 10 rows in the inner and outer fabric).
Now you need to connect the double elastic band into one fabric, we do it this way: 1 edge. , knit the front loop of the outer fabric with the purl loop of the inner fabric together with one front loop, and so on for all subsequent loops., 1 chrome stitch. As a result, we are left with a single blade of 96+2 chrome on the knitting needle. loops
Then row 1 - knit stitches.

3.

Row 2 - purl stitches
We begin to knit the 3rd row according to the pattern, only in this row we make yarn overs, but do not decrease the loops, it turns out that we add 48 loops with yarn overs = 146 loops of the fabric (144 = 8 repeats from the pattern + 2 edges) repeat = 18 loops.
Then we knit everything according to the pattern, purl rows, loops according to the pattern, yarn overs, purl stitches.
At a height of 15 cm from the elastic band, we begin to decrease the loops for the top. We continue to knit according to the pattern, only now we decrease the loops and do not make yarn overs. And in the middle of the repeat, where the sections of the facial loops are, we knit 3 stitches together. The top turns out to be a beautiful flower.

4.

5.

The top openwork cap is finished.
Let's start working on the inner cap.
On the inside of the product, along the upper edge of the double elastic band, we put 98 loops on the knitting needle. Next we knit in stockinette stitch - front side - knit stitches, wrong side - purl stitches. At a height of 13 cm from the elastic, we divide the fabric into 6 equal parts (6 x 16 loops = 96 + 2 stitches), knit the middle of each sixth part in 2 stitches. knit stitch together, after one row we knit the same centers 3 stitches each. knit stitch together and so on until the loops are completely decreased, there are 8 loops left on the knitting needle - we collect them with a needle and secure the top with a thread.

6.

Let's start making a bubo: Cut out two circles with a diameter of 10 cm from thick cardboard, cut out a hole with a diameter of 3 cm inside each circle, put both resulting rings together and wrap them with thread so that the inner hole is completely filled. Then we cut the threads around the circumference so that the cardboard rings become visible. We move the rings apart a little so that we can secure the threads with a lace (we crochet a braid or a thread in two folds), tie them securely with two knots. Carefully remove the rings. Shake the bubo to straighten the threads and adjust the shape with scissors. We fix the bubo on the top cap. That's it - the product is ready! I wish you creative success! Author Julia.

knitted hat for girls

Size 51-52
Kandy threads (Vita), 100% wool, knitting density 10 cm X 22 sts, 10 cm X 32 rows, about 200 grams without pompom, stocking needles No. 3.

Pattern 1:

Pattern 2:
* Knit 2 stitches together, yarn over* repeat from *

On knitting needles No. 3, cast on 112 stitches with an additional thread of a contrasting color, distribute the knitting onto 4 knitting needles, 28 stitches on each. After this, use the main thread to knit the inner cap with a 2x2 elastic band. At a height of 3 cm, knit a row with pattern 2, leaving holes for the ears in this way: knit 16 loops with pattern 2, then close 16 loops with an additional thread, turn the knitting and cast on 16 loops with an additional thread, then knit the cast-on loops with the main thread and continue pattern 2 another 48 loops to the second eye. Make a hole for the second eye and continue knitting pattern 2 on the remaining 16 loops.
Next, we knit the outer elastic band 2x2, at a height of 3 cm. We move on to pattern 1, simultaneously adding one loop from every 7th loop. This makes 128 loops. At a height of 10 cm of pattern 1, we begin decreasing. Decrease evenly, 2 stitches on one needle every other row. To prevent the decrease from being noticeable, we knit 2 loops together with purl loops, alternating “before the braid” and “after the braid.” After there are 2 purl loops left between the braids, decrease the loops on the braids evenly, leaving a total of 4 loops in the braid. Pull off the remaining loops.
After completing the top hat, knit the ears. Remove the extra thread, distribute the stitches onto 4 knitting needles, 8 stitches per knitting needle. At a height of 5 cm, start decreasing on the sides, like mittens. On the remaining 4 loops, knit ties, on 2-stocking needles, with knit stitches, without turning the knitting.
After the ears, we remove the additional cast-on thread, distribute the stitches onto 4 knitting needles, 28 stitches on each, and knit the inner cap using stockinette stitch. Considering that pattern No. 1 of the upper cap tightens the knitting, there is no need to add loops on the inner cap. Knit 10 cm in stockinette stitch, divide the knitting into 8 parts and start decreasing in each part. It should be taken into account that the width of the inner cap is 16 stitches smaller, so you need to decrease not every row, but less often, constantly comparing the inner cap and the outer one. At the end of the inner cap, pull off the remaining loops.

Next we knit tightening rows: edge row, 3 knit rows together to the end of the row, 1 edge row. Reverse row - we knit all the purl stitches like this two more times, and tighten the remaining loops.
Assembly: sew the hat along the entire length, turn the inside inside out and fasten the top edge of the elastic of both parts of the hat. And, for a more reliable fixation of the layers of the hat, we fasten them by sewing beads. We tighten the crown of the upper part.
Ears - ties: at a distance of 12 loops from the middle seam, we cast on 24 loops on the wrong side of the hat (under the braid of the closed edge) with knitting needles No. 2.5 and knit 14 rows with a 2x2 elastic band. Close 1 loop on each side of the eyelet 2 times. Next, we knit another 25 cm on the remaining loops. Two tightening rows and close the loops.
We knit the second ear symmetrically.
Next, you need to make 6 pompons and two flagella about 20 cm long. At the same time, we attach two pompoms to the ends of the ear ties, and attach the remaining four to the flagella and sew them to the top of the hat.
The hat is ready and your child will feel warm and cozy even in severe frosts.

They will always be an integral part of a little child's wardrobe from birth. Many mothers enjoy knitting hats for their babies with their own hands. Fortunately, on handicraft websites you can find many diagrams with descriptions of interesting modern models of hats for children.

In recent years, models of hats for girls with visors and earflaps with beautiful ties have become very popular. Hats for autumn do not have to be knitted from thick woolen threads. It is enough to sew a high-quality fleece or knitted lining on the reverse side and the hat will perfectly protect the baby from the chilly autumn wind. For late autumn - early winter, you can knit a very comfortable helmet hat that will reliably protect from the cold and keep you warm for a long time. A helmet hat protects not only the head, but also the girl’s neck (instead of a scarf).

Lightweight panama hats, caps, and hats with and without brims are knitted from thin cotton yarn for girls. Such hats perfectly protect the child’s head from the scorching rays of the sun and from windy weather. And knitted panama hats protect babies from sunstroke on the beach, while the child’s head does not sweat so much.

The baby hat is easy to knit. Even an inexperienced knitter can easily knit a hat for a girl in one evening.

Wide brims for children's hats can be made very simply. For example, tying a piece of thick fishing line into the last row in the margins. You can also starch the brim so that it rises above the child's eyes. But the brims on such a panama hat will lose their shape when exposed to moisture.

Tips for beginners:

any fastenings and decorations on a knitted children's hat must be sewn very firmly;

the yarn from which you will knit a headdress for a girl must be of high quality (mostly natural fibers in the composition);

BEAUTIFUL HAT

In order to knit a bright and original hat with a flirty bow for a 4-5 year old girl required:

  • 75–90 g orange and 25–30 g white YarnArt Baby yarn (150 m/50 g, 100% acrylic)
  • and knitting needles No. 4.

Pattern 1. Elastic band 1x1: knit rows – k1, purl 1; purl rows - according to the drawing.
Pattern 2. Front stitch: front rows - with front loops, purl rows - according to the pattern.
Pattern 3. “Rice”: front rows – k1, p1, finish with k1; purl rows – purl 1, knit 1, finish purl 1.
Loop calculation: 2 p x 1 cm horizontally.

Cap.

Cast on 79 stitches with orange yarn on size 4 needles.

Knit 6 rows (2 cm) with pattern 1.

This will be the headband of the cap. The width in an unstretched state should be 30-31 cm.

Next go to pattern 2.

Knit 8 rows (3 cm).

From the right edge of the fabric, tie an additional white thread to the working thread. Work 1 row of faces with it. loops.

Starting from the next (purl) row, go to pattern 3. Make 4 rows. At the end of each purl. row, knit the edge loop with threads of two colors: orange and white. Then knit 1 row with purl stitches, cut off the white yarn and secure it.

Next, continue the work with orange yarn, pattern 2.

Knit 12 rows (4 cm) in an even fabric.

Then you need to start shaping the bottom of the cap. To do this, not counting the first two loops, divide the loops on the knitting needle into 7 equal parts.
79 – 2 = 77 p
77: 7 = 11 p
You will get 7 wedges of 11 stitches each. At the beginning of each of them, knit 2 stitches together with a tilt to the left (behind the back walls).

Next, perform decreases in faces. rows, knitting the first 2 sts of each wedge together until there are 23 sts left on the needles.

Transfer them to a long hook, cut the working thread, pull it through all the loops and pull tight.

Sew the edges of the cap with a vertical knit stitch. To do this, from the front side of the fabric, insert the hook into the horizontal broaches of two loops located next to the right edge. Pull the thread through them. Then insert the hook into the same broaches of two loops located next to the left edge. Sew the product in this way and secure the end of the thread.

The knitted hat is ready. But you also need to tie a bow that will serve as decoration.

Bow.

Cast on 16 sts with white yarn on size 4 needles.

Knit 46 rows with pattern 3 and bind off all stitches.

Fold the resulting rectangle into the shape of a bow. Wrap yarn around it in the middle, imitating a knot.

Then sew the resulting bow to the white stripe on the knitted hat. Hide the ends of the cut yarn on the wrong side of the hat.
