How to make kanzashi from satin ribbons. Kanzashi style flower for beginners. Do-it-yourself rowan kanzashi from ribbons

I do not claim to be an expert in this area, my article is more for beginners. I will try to tell you about all the nuances of this needlework and teach you several techniques for creating flowers from ribbons.

The uniqueness and simplicity of this needlework

If you look at photographs of flowers from ribbons, the beauty and sophistication of flower arrangements, then this skill will seem incredibly difficult. I hasten to please you, this is not so.

The flower you have conceived will always work out, of course, depending on the experience and skills gained, the end result will be different.

Artificial flowers are created from various materials, knitted, woven from macrame, molded from polymer clay, all these methods require talent and special skills.

In our case, it will suffice to carefully study step by step instructions for beginners, how to make flowers from ribbons and you will succeed.

I will say a few words about the strength of products made of nylon tapes. It all depends on the functionality of the future product, if the flowers decorate the interior, then special reliability is not necessary here, but if the flower decorates a children's headband or headband, then you need to try to make a very high-quality thing.

Methods for making flowers from ribbons

I want to tell and show you some basic ways to create flowers from ribbons. Having mastered this simple science, you can create any kind of flowers.

My advice to you, try to make any fantasy copy using one of the techniques, and you will feel all the nuances of the method you have chosen and master it faster.

Preparation for needlework

  • Any ribbon you like in different colors and sizes
  • Needles and threads
  • sharp scissors
  • glue gun
  • Tweezers
  • Centers for flowers or beads, sequins
  • Floral sleeve (or tube to thicken the stem).

Also prepare a desktop with a table lamp.

Kanzashi

With the kanzashi technique, my acquaintance with flowers from satin ribbons began. This technique came to us from Japan, kanzashi are decorated with hairpins or hairpins.

Girls' hairstyles bloom with chic flowers, thanks to such hairpins. Due to the fashion for kanzashi, more and more needlewomen are mastering this completely simple technique.

In addition to the prepared materials mentioned above, take a ruler, pattern chalk and a candle for singeing the tips.

Three types of leaves are used in kanzashi: round, long and sharp.

  • First, cut a 5 cm wide satin ribbon into squares, naturally the same.
  • We take a square and fold the corners to each other, as shown in the photo and lower the extreme corners to the lower central corner.
  • Then we wind the side corners back and clamp with tweezers.
  • The lower cut, if necessary, is cut off and melted over the candle.
  • Thus, a round petal is obtained, of which several pieces need to be made.
  • We collect the finished petals on a thread, fold them into a flower and glue them to the base, attach a bead to the middle with a glue gun.

Congratulations on your first kanzashi flower!

I present to you a few video tutorials on how to make flowers from ribbons.

Creating a more lush flower.

Note!

Creating double petals using the kanzashi technique, from which the cutest butterflies and beautiful snowflakes are obtained.

melted petals

Another way to create flowers from ribbons is melted petals. This method is good for making large flower arrangements, for example, I made a basket of roses.

However, there are some nuances here:

  • Not all ribbons are well suited for such colors;
  • Melted petals do not look as neat as kanzashi;
  • It may not work right away, you need to “fill your hand”.

A more suitable material for creating these colors is nylon ribbons.

Manufacturing instructions.

  • We make a pattern in the shape of a half heart, as shown in the photo;
  • Next, cut out the petals of 7 large pieces, 7 medium pieces and the same number of small ones;
  • The edges of each petal you cut are melted over the candle, after such processing the petals become voluminous;
  • We collect the petals on a thread in a checkerboard pattern, with a slight overlap, then the flower will be lush;
  • We attach beads to the core.
  • The flower is ready.

Note!

Charming ribbon embroidery

Yes, they also embroider with ribbons! In embroidery, ribbons of different widths are used, which, with proper drapery, creates volume and beauty of the embroidered picture.

This technique is good for several reasons:

  • Quick result;
  • Ribbon embroidery looks very rich and is appreciated among lovers;
  • Not complicated schemes, if desired, everyone can do it.

I have prepared several master classes, watch and learn.

Now they sell a lot of kits for embroidery with ribbons, such kits are very good for beginner needlewomen, there is a pattern, a canvas, a set of ribbons, threads and everything that is used to create a picture.

If you want exclusive work, you can draw up schemes, choose colors and textures yourself.

Note!

Photo of flowers from ribbons with your own hands

With bright flowers made of ribbons, you can decorate a gift, a hairpin, a brooch. You can even make a whole bunch of them. They will not cause allergies and will not lose their appearance even after a whole day of wearing. Therefore, such flowers are often decorated with wedding accessories. Making your own jewelry is very easy. Even an inexperienced needlewoman will spend no more than twenty minutes on one flower. In the article, read how to make flowers from ribbons. The master class in each section is designed for beginners and does not require special skills and tools. And the presence of a photo will make the procedure even more understandable.

Single Ribbon Rose

The most popular satin ribbon flower is the rosette. There are many different types: twisted, in bud, with individual petals. With your own hands, the easiest way is to make a flower from a single ribbon. Here are two simple and beautiful options.

For the first, you need a piece of tape 2 cm wide and at least half a meter long.

Instruction:

The flower is ready. From several of these decorations you can make a whole bouquet. Put it in a vase or use it as an understudy for a wedding.

The second option - a twisted rose - is very similar to the first. They have the same manufacturing principle, but the tape needs to be folded a little differently.

The longer the piece of tape, the more magnificent the flower will turn out. Experiment with different colors, and you will definitely get the most unusual decoration.

Kanzashi flower from ribbons

Kanzashi is the ancient Japanese art of making jewelry from cloth. Today, this technique has been successfully mastered by craftswomen around the world. The old recipes have been supplemented, and we can only successfully use the ready-made instructions. We will describe one of them below. It will be a flower of sharp petals.

For manufacturing you will need:

  • Satin ribbons in orange and white:

Orange ribbon 5 cm wide - 1 m.

White ribbon 5 cm wide - 80 cm.

Orange ribbon 2.5 cm wide - 30 cm;

  • Bead to decorate the middle;
  • Cardboard mugs with a diameter of 3.5 cm and 2.5 cm;
  • Adhesive on fabric: hot glue or instant crystal;
  • Candle or lighter;
  • Barrette.

Kanzashi petals from satin ribbons (photo)

Surely, you have often seen the types of products using the kanzashi technique, which adorn accessories, clothes and hairstyles. This traditional needlework, which came to us from distant Japan, has taken a worthy place in the hearts of craftswomen. Now kanzashi products are used in different directions.
Before making a beautiful flower of any shape or with a curl, you need to master the knowledge of how to make kanzashi leaves and kanzashi petals. This master class (mk), which is also suitable for beginners, will clearly show you new ideas and types that are done by yourself.

Required material

In order to properly make leaves from ribbons with your own hands, you need to choose the necessary accessories:

  • several shades of satin basses;
  • ruler;
  • simple pencil;
  • small scissors;
  • the flame of a candle or matches;
  • glue;
  • tweezers;
  • needle and thread;
  • beads for decoration.

We will look at several ways to create a kanzashi petal from satin ribbons. There are only two of them, these are round and pointed petals. Of these, we will make an elegant flower with our own hands.

We make a narrow petal from ribbons

Prepare all the new materials on the desktop. We start by cutting satin ribbons into small squares. We should get seven pieces yellow color and five pieces of emerald color.

If you feel uncomfortable grasping the flap with your fingers, use tweezers. Fold the piece of tape so that the fold is at the top, as in the photo.

Connect the right corner to the left.

Do it again like this. Align the folds.

With small scissors, cut off the ends, as shown in the photo.

Scorch this edge with fire, we do such manipulations very quickly so as not to burn our future petal for beginners.
The edges that are below, also pour over with fire. This is not done for gluing, but so that the threads do not fray.

Look at the photo, such a blank, you should get it too.

In exactly the same way, we create the subsequent elements.
In order to learn in detail the technology and types of creating a kanzashi petal, you can study the video master class (mk) on our portal.

Video: Making a narrow petal

Round kanzashi petal

Kanzashi round petal, do step by step, almost the same as in the previous master class.
Fold the yellow patch in half.

Attach the ends that are located on the sides to the bottom. You will get all the side folds, as in the photo.

Pull the edges back and make sure they are even.

Trim the edges and burn.
The bottom edge is also removed and fired. In this case, the edges are not only singeed, but also glued together. While the cut is still hot, press the ends with tweezers.

Here is the inverted petal we got, look at it from both sides.

The photo shows the blanks that are the result of our work. So the master class (MK) is going right and what we do with our own hands is working out. A detailed lesson and a master class can be viewed on the video.

Video: Round petal master class

Assembling a flower from different petals

Now all our blanks from satin ribbons, which we made with our own hands, need to be put together.
Dial petals, yellow
on a thread.

Build such a product.

From thick cardboard, you need to cut a small circle. Lay it on the fabric, while smearing it with textile glue.
After tucking the ends, glue the tape to the cardboard. Wait until this element dries, and re-saturate it again.

Glue a sewn flower to our element.

While the textile glue dries, you can straighten the round kanzashi petals with your own hands. Our master class (mk) continues. Let's start doing the craft. Look what happens after we made the inverted petal.

We take a green kanzashi petal and drip a drop of glue on it.

Attach the next sharp petal to it.

We make sharp petals, in the amount of two pairs, two in each pair.

We impregnate another sharp petal with glue and attach between the two primary crafts.

In exactly the same way, we attach three things to a double petal.
The photo shows a twig and sharp petals on it.

Put a drop of glue on a branch.

Attach it between the round yellow petals.
The core of the flower can be decorated with any decorative material, such as a bead or rhinestones. This master class (mk) is also completed, you can watch it on the video located on our portal.

Such petals are useful, in the form of decoration, for any accessory.

kanzashi petals with swirl

Our small master class will show you how to make a sharp petal with a curl. We need not much material, namely:

  • pink and black satin ribbon;
  • glue;
  • scissors and tweezers;
  • fire of a candle or lighter.

You need to cut satin ribbons into small squares, this procedure will be understandable even for beginners. Their size will be equal to five centimeters.

Fold the piece of ribbon in half to make a triangle. Then one more time, roll it up.

Do the same with the black color of the blank. Insert one element into another so that the pink blank is inside the black one.

Using tweezers, wrap the end of the triangle in the middle, capturing two colors of the tape at once.

Connect the edges of the product together. And spread the top of different colors on the sides.

Cut off the excess edge and singe with a flame of fire. Thus, we got an interesting petal with a curl in the middle.

Such sharp petals with a curl will make an ordinary headband or bandage an exquisite evening accessory. This kanzashi technique is becoming more and more popular with all fashionistas who prefer handmade things. These flowers are also used to make hairpins and brooches that adorn beauties. It is important, before starting work, to watch a video of some types of petals that other needlewomen make in order to decide which accessory you want to make.

Video: Petals with curls

The topic of today's master class: kanzashi for beginners. Among the expanses of the Internet, you can find a lot of interesting works in the Tsumami kanzashi technique and it is not surprising that many people want to try to master this technique. What can be done in this technique: all kinds of hair ornaments (elastic bands, hairpins, hairpins, hoops, headbands), topiary, wedding bouquets, brooches, magnets, Christmas decorations, necklaces, curtain holders and more. You can continue indefinitely.

How to get started with new technology?

  • To begin with, it is worth acquiring materials: a satin ribbon, a lighter or a candle, a needle and thread, a base for crafts, a glue gun with rods and a beautiful center for a flower (half-bead, rhinestones, etc.), scissors.
  • For beginners, I would recommend using a ribbon 5 cm wide. For the simplest flower of 6 petals, you will need 30 centimeters of ribbon, for a two-color flower - 2 types of ribbon of 30 centimeters.
  • What to choose: a lighter or a candle - it's up to you, it's very individual. It is worth trying both options, and then you yourself will understand which one is more convenient for you.
  • The glue can be replaced at the moment of the crystal, plus it is that it is resistant to heat and the product does not deform in the sun. However, most often they use glue - a gun because of the better price (it is more economical) and ease of use.
  • For those who do not have a beautiful center for a flower at hand, you can make it from beads or wrap a button with a ribbon.

kanzashi for beginners (how to make a flower):

  1. To make a flower, we cut squares of tape 5 by 5 in size, in the amount of 6 pieces.
  2. We prepare the petals of the selected shape.
  3. We collect the finished petals on a thread and connect or glue the petals with glue and collect them into a flower.
  4. We glue the finished flower to the base and decorate the middle.

And here is the purchased base for the gum:

The principle of operation is clear, so I propose to dwell on the most important thing - the basic petals.

Sharp kanzashi petal:

Fold a 5 by 5 square in half diagonally, fold in half in the middle.

Fold in the middle again:

We cut the corner a little and singe.

We cut the edges almost parallel to the fold lines of the petal and singe them separately. On this sharp petal is ready.

Back side view:

Flower of sharp petals:

The second version of the sharp petal:

All stages of work are performed in exactly the same way, only at the end of the edge we singe not separately, but together, and we get such a petal:

And if you turn the edges of the petal inside out, you get such a sharp inverted petal:

An example of a flower from sharp inverted petals + a master class can be viewed.

Double sharp kanzashi petal:

The principle is the same as in the manufacture of a single petal, only two colors of tape are used:

Petal example:

Round kanzashi petal:

We fold the square of the satin ribbon 5 by 5 diagonally in half, wrap the side corners to the center, to the bottom corner.

We turn the sides down, holding the middle of the petal, cut the corner and singe.

We cut the lower part and singe the edges separately. On this petal is ready.

Flower example:

If you turn the edges of the finished petal inside out, you will end up with a round inside out petal:

Flower example:

Another version of the petal, for the manufacture of which you need to singe the edges by folding them together:

Back side view:

Flower example:

Double round lobe

It folds in exactly the same way as a single one, only we use two squares of a ribbon of a different color:

Flower example:

The following photos of the works show rubber bands, for the manufacture of which were used: a round petal, a sharp petal, as well as a round inverted petal:

I promise to do a master class on these cute decorations a little later.

This is the lesson: kanzashi for beginners is over for today, I hope that the material will help beginners, but if something is still unclear, ask! Good luck with your experiments and creative inspiration!

It is possible to choose a needlework technique that will be interesting and suitable for a particular craftswoman only through trial and error. From this point of view, the oriental kanzashi technique, like no other, deserves to try your hand at it at least once.

History of kanzashi

In Japan, where this art came from, the term “kanzashi” (according to a more accurate transcription - “kanzashi”) refers to flower hair ornaments. Hairpins, combs, headbands, rubber bands, decorated with ribbon flowers, were usually worn with kimonos.

In Japanese kanzashi, precious and semi-precious materials, natural bone, and tortoise shell are often used. This was natural, since Japanese women did not wear any jewelry on their bodies. The richer they wanted to decorate their hair.

Types of kanzashi

  • In Russia, Khana Kanzashi has most taken root among needlewomen - these are kanzashi hair ornaments created on the basis of hairpins, hairpins, headbands, combs and sticks. The base is decorated with flowers from folded squares of various fabrics (satin, silk, organza). The second name for this type of kanzashi is Tsumami, from the Japanese word for "fold". One piece of fabric goes to one petal. At the base, each petal joins its comrade to end up with a whole flower or flower arrangement. The size of the flowers may vary, as well as the color, shape, material.
  • Subspecies of Tsumami - Sidare. These are decorations from which flowers hang on long threads or chains.

    Sometimes a round kanzashi is formed from the flowers - it is called Kusudama.

The following varieties of kanzashi are less popular with us as a type of needlework, but they are found on sale, and the following varieties of kanzashi are also produced in large quantities in Japan:

    Combs - Kushi. Rounded scallops used to be made from tortoise shell or bone, but today the base is increasingly made of plastic. Flowers are either attached to the wide part of the comb, or a floral ornament is applied.

    Hairpin - Kanoko Dome. It practically belongs to precious jewelry, since the base is made of precious metals, jade or coral, and the ornament is made of pearls, semi-precious stones. In fact, this is a forked hairpin, which is good for pinning hair gathered in a bun. The decoration is usually presented in the form of a butterfly or a flower.

    Wooden kanzashi - Hira Uchi. It can be a comb, and a forked hairpin, and a thin long “needle”.

    Tama - round kanzashi. They do not consist of flowers, but of a solid circle made of plastic, metal, stone.

    Bira - differ from other types in that long chains are attached to the base, hanging from a hairpin or hairpin in a cascade. It looks very nice on the hair.

In Japan, only specially trained people take on the manufacture of such jewelry, who need to know exactly what, how and from what material can be made and what cannot. Kanzashi is considered the national pride and treasure of the country.

In Russia, kanzashi is simply one of the interesting techniques for creating jewelry and decor. Therefore, we have not only hair ornaments, but also kanzashi boxes, kanzashi headbands, kanzashi egg and even garters for curtains made using this technique.

Kanzashi technique

Squares of fabric (the easiest way is to use a satin or other ribbon cut into square pieces, since the squares are not sold separately in stores) are folded in half with tweezers to make a triangle. It is folded twice more. To get a sharp kanzashi petal, the resulting triangle is cut from the bottom. It is more difficult to get a round kanzashi petal - for this, the same square of fabric is folded in half, and the corners of the resulting triangle are raised up. This is how a rhombus is formed. It is bent in half, then bent in the middle, wrapping all the edges inward. After that, a circle is formed.

It is best to watch the video of a master class on the kanzashi technique in order to see with your own eyes how to do it correctly.

Materials and tools for kanzashi

First of all, these are pieces of fabric: satin, satin, silk, organza. Accessories for kanzashi also include:

Tweezers. Without it, few people succeed in folding a tiny square, and even more than once. It is not necessary to buy any special tweezers. You can use any one you feel comfortable working with.

Sharply sharpened scissors for working with fabrics. It is better to have two types of scissors on hand - one large tailor, so that you can easily cut the tape into squares evenly, others with thin, short blades to trim the fabric and correct flaws.

Matches. A lighter is also suitable - they are needed to burn the edge of the tape in time and prevent it from turning into a fluffy fringe.

Adhesive for fabric. Someone prefers to use a thermal gun, which fastens the petals together. It's a matter of taste and convenience.

Kanzashi patterns. Without them, you will be able to create only the simplest jewelry. Anything more complex requires the use of a template. True, very experienced craftsmen with rich imagination claim that they can do without them.

Middles for kanzashi. These are various accessories that will act as the centerpiece of your flower. For example, pebbles, brooches, figurines, etc.

Needle and thread. It is not always convenient to fasten the product with glue. Sometimes it's better to use a good old needle.

Other accessories. Nobody says that the decoration should consist only of flowers. All sorts of interesting decorative gizmos, which are presented in abundance in sewing shops (and probably lay around in the needlework box of any experienced craftswoman) will give pattern dyeing a touch of uniqueness and charm.

Basics for kanzashi. You will be attaching flower petals somewhere. Here, we need base blanks in the form of the base of hairpins, hairpins, headbands, etc.

The choice of ribbons for kanzashi

Satin ribbons, presented in a wide variety on the shelves of specialized stores, differ not only in color, but also in width. The most popular among craftswomen are kanzashi from 2.5 cm and 5 cm tape. Although you can also make kanzashi from rep tape.

To determine exactly what length of tape you need, you need to carefully listen to the craftswoman from the video of the master class - usually she says how much and what is needed. Or read the job description.

The main advice for beginners is not to take on complex elements. Start with flowers with few petals. This will help you to guarantee success and not lose interest in kanzashi (which often happens when the first pancake comes out lumpy).

Round petals are best made not from satin, but from silk or crepe satin. These materials are much easier to bend.

You should also not start with light-colored ribbons. The edges of the tape as a result of cauterization may darken, therefore, until you master all the subtleties of craftsmanship, opt for blue, purple, dark green colors.

If you decide to work with organza, keep in mind that this material crumbles very intensively after cutting.

Flowers from kanzashi ribbons

As mentioned above, flower kanzashi have received the greatest popularity in Russia. Let's take a step-by-step look at several options for creating different most spectacular looking flowers.

This bulk flower looks very nice. To create it you will need:

    Ribbon 3-5 cm wide and at least 3 meters long (with a margin), the color of the ribbon is white or yellow;

    Scissors, glue in a metal tube with a long spout, a lighter, an elastic band 15 cm long;

    Base fabric, quite dense, with non-shrinking edges. For example, felt.

    Line, beads.

A step-by-step description of creating a chrysanthemum using the kanzashi technique:

      We cut the tape into pieces 7 cm long. We need to make 50 such pieces (in general, they need a little less, but let there be a supply).

      We bend the ribbons along the front side outward.

      We cut one tip of the bent petal obliquely and singe with a lighter.

      Opposite corners are simply fastened together by bending them with an overlap and butt. We also singe the edge of the tape.

      We turn all the ribbons in the same way into petals.

      We take our base with a diameter of 3 cm. We make two cuts and thread an elastic band into them. It should turn out like this:

Actually, we need an elastic band to subsequently fix the chrysanthemum in the hair. But after the formation of the finished flower, you can glue or sew an ordinary, unadorned hair band to match the flower to the felt.

      From the fishing line we cut two pieces of 6 cm long. We glue three beads on each, as shown in the figure above.

      Glue the petals to the base. On rows 1-3 we glue 8 petals, on 4-5 rows 6, on the 6th we glue 4 petals.

      Each subsequent row is glued into the gap between the petals of the previous row.

      After the fifth row, we glue a fishing line with beads into the middle.

      In the middle of the sixth, final row, we insert a beautiful brooch or a large bead.

Tip: you can use petals of different colors to get the original flower.

lily kanzashi

Rosa kanzashi master class

Required tools and materials:

    Satin ribbon 5 cm wide and 1 m long,

    Lighter, scissors, ruler,

  • Glue, toothpick.

Step 1. We cut the tape into 7 square pieces with a length and width of a square equal to 5 cm. We burn the edges.

Step 2 We bend each square diagonally and fix it at the top with a lighter.

Step 3 For the core of the future flower, we fold one prepared petal with the corners down.

Step 4 We do the same with other petals, only we bring the ends together not end-to-end, but leaving a small gap. At the bottom, we cut the sharp corners with scissors and burn them with matches or a lighter.

Step 5 Apply glue to the first, core petal. You can do this with a toothpick - the size of the petal is so small that you can ruin the product if you apply glue directly from the tube.

Step 6 We turn the petal, as shown in the figure.

Step 7 Around the first petal we firmly wrap the second one, with glue also applied to it.

Step 8 After all the petals are glued, the rose becomes like a rose.

But you can add as many petals as you like. To get a truly magnificent flower, it is worth adding about 10 more petals.

Kanzashi - tulips

Perhaps the simplest flower that can be made using this technique.

So, we need:

    Ribbon 2.5 cm wide.

.

Cut the ribbon into 4 squares. We form from each a classic sharp kanzashi petal.

We glue the petals together with a thermal gun or glue.

We form a tube and fix the petals with glue so that they do not fall apart. Tulip is ready.

As a tulip can be used in decor.

Easter kanzashi

Although the Japanese would hardly have approved of this, in Russia, not only hair ornaments began to be made using the kanzashi technique. Using basic fabric petals as a building material, craftswomen get a wide variety of products. For example, Easter eggs.

kanzashi easter egg

Here is such a cute Easter egg can be made using the kanzashi technique.

What is needed for this:

    Blue satin ribbon 3 cm wide. This egg will take about 300 petals. In total, we need 9 meters of tape.

    As a basis, an oval object pasted over with felt is taken. For example, a wooden egg.

    Petals are formed, as for a regular flower kanzashi. Glue them to the base from the bottom up. The order of arrangement is visible in the figure.

You can also make an Easter egg using this technique:

Other kanzashi for Easter

You can make a cute chicken. More specifically, chicken-themed fridge magnets.

You will need: yellow satin ribbon, scissors, matches, a small piece of red ribbon, pieces of black fabric, yellow fabric that does not fringe along the cut line. Well, the base is in the form of a round magnet. Thick cardboard is glued on it, felt on cardboard. Petals are already glued to the felt. You can also take as a basis a convex semi-oval, for example, from the same thick cardboard. Then the chicken will turn out voluminous.

You can also make an entire Easter composition using the kanzashi technique. For example, this one:

Kanzashi by May 9

You can decorate clothes or hair for the Victory Day in the style of kanzashi - simple, spectacular, unusual.

Brooch in kanzashi style for May 9

The simplest thing you can do for this holiday is a beautiful brooch with which you can attach a St. George ribbon to your clothes.

The easiest option for beginners in its final form will look like this:

What you need:

    Red or orange satin ribbon 5 cm wide,

    A small piece of black felt

    Scissors, matches,

    The basis for the brooch (a piece of metal with a needle-clasp at the bottom - you can disassemble the old brooch or look for a blank base in stores),

    St. George Ribbon.

The procedure will be like this:

        Cut the ribbon into 7 squares.

        Fold each square diagonally.

        Raise the corners of the resulting triangle to the top.

        Cut off the corners formed to the right and left of the petal. We burn the edge with matches. You will get the following petals:

        Cut out a small circle from the felt. We glue the petals on it.

        Sew or glue the core into the center.

You can make a slightly more complex, but much more spectacular looking version of the brooch. Here's one:

You will need ribbons of three colors.

Step 1. We form the petals.

Step 2. We glue the required number of petals (count how many of them are in the photo of the brooch that you liked) to the base - a piece of dense fabric (you can take felt, as in the first case), round or oval.

Step 3. We decorate the brooch with rhinestones and a festive white bow (optional).

This is the kind of beauty you can get in the style of kanzashi, if you make it from a St. George ribbon. So, the required tools and materials:

    St. George Ribbon,

    Scissors, tweezers, glue,

    Line, lighter.

    Metal clasp for a brooch.

The order of work is as follows:

          We cut the St. George ribbon into square pieces.

          We fold each piece several times, as shown in the pictures:

A) at an angle

B) From right to left

IN) One more time in half

G) Cut off the excess and burn it with matches

          Ready-made petals-blanks should turn out like this:

          Now we take a St. George ribbon 20 cm long. We cut the edges of the ribbon inward at an acute angle to make beautiful forked sections. So that the cut does not fringe, we burn its edges.

From the wrong side of the ribbon we attach a clasp for a brooch to it.

          We collect the petals into a flower, gluing them to the brooch. The core can be decorated with a bead or a pebble.

          You have a ribbon with a brooch, as in the picture above.

After you master simple kanzashi, you can start implementing more complex, interesting ideas.

Beautiful curtains - a beautiful pickup. How about this option:

To bring this idea to life, you will need:

    Satin ribbons of any shades (to match the curtains or contrast - your choice). The width of the tapes should be 5 cm.

    White or cream ribbon 1 cm wide.

    Old, not needed, but whole CDs.

    Scissors, tweezers, ruler.

    Line and beads.

Progress.

1. Cut out the middle from the disks, stepping back 1.5 cm along the edges.

2. Cooking petals. We will need sharp petals of different colors.

3. From part of the petals we form buds, gluing three petals in each. Make 5 of these buds.

4. Form a flower from five petals and several stamens.

5. For stamens, we need fishing line and beads. For each small piece of fishing line we string two beads (one at both ends). Bend the stamens in half.

6. We wrap the rim of a larger diameter cut from the disk with a thin light satin ribbon. On it in pairs, as indicated in the figure, 20 petals of two different colors are glued.

Please note that these petals are folded differently - just in half, from triangular blanks.

7. Glue the flowers between the leaves. On the sides are satin buds. At the top of the disk we decorate with a pigtail woven from satin ribbons.

Kanzashi headband master class

Not only flowers, but also berries can be made from satin ribbons. So, to create a blackberry (or raspberry) you will need:

    Round pieces of tape with a diameter of 1-1.5 cm,

    Lighter,

    Scissors, needle and thread to match the tape.

    Green satin ribbon 5 cm wide.

    Piece of felt.

Progress:

  1. With the help of a needle and thread, we form small balls-bags from circles. Like these ones:

    There should be 7 such circles in total.

    We collect them together like beads with the help of the same thread with a needle.

    As a result, we get such a berry

  1. We cut the green ribbon into squares, form round kanzashi petals from them. Enough 7-10 petals.

    We cut out a round base from felt, attach green petals to it, and glue our blackberry in the center.

Tips: if you take a red ribbon, you get a juicy raspberry, which can be done in the same way. And if you are going to decorate with a berry not an elastic band, then you will not need felt - the leaves with blackberries can be sewn or glued immediately to the finished product.
